About Mindora Health

Nurse practitioner-led mental health care for Wollongong & the Illawarra

Mindora Health is a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-led clinic. It is led by Tammy Tran Merrick, an AHPRA-endorsed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who can assess, diagnose, order investigations and prescribe within her scope of practice — so one clinician can carry your assessment, treatment plan and follow-up rather than splitting it across several services.

Nurse Practitioner-led care
Assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and treatment planning within a single consultation, using a biopsychosocial approach.
Assessment, then telehealth
One in-person comprehensive assessment a year, then follow-ups from home. No waitlist, and no referral required — a GP referral is encouraged.

Our Approach

Person-centred care, grounded in evidence

We exist to bridge the gap between what is known to work from evidence-based practice and what patients actually experience at the point of care.

Bridging the gap
A five-minute GP consultation is rarely enough to make sense of a complex mental health picture. Our step-care model gives your assessment the time it needs, then keeps monitoring and adjusting your plan as clinically indicated.
Person-centred & trauma-informed
Care is person-centred, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, solution-focused and biopsychosocial — biological, psychological and social factors are all considered, because mental health rarely has a single cause. Your goals drive your plan, and we work at your pace.
Honest about outcomes
We use non-stigmatising language and don't make promises about outcomes. What we offer is careful assessment, clear reasoning and a plan reviewed over time. Some medicines and higher-risk presentations require psychiatrist involvement; where that applies, we'll tell you and help arrange it.

What is a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner?

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse with advanced clinical education, endorsed by the NMBA to work at an extended scope of practice. A Mental Health Nurse Practitioner applies that scope to mental health care — assessment, diagnosis, ordering investigations, prescribing and reviewing medication, and coordinating ongoing care.

Holistic care

We look beyond the presenting symptom to understand
the whole person, using a biopsychosocial approach.

Comprehensive skills

Assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and treatment
planning within a single consultation.

Accessible care

An in-person assessment followed by telehealth
follow-ups, so you can attend specialist review from home.

Some medicines and higher-risk presentations require
psychiatrist involvement.
